Data Metalcraft is looking to add a Lead Spot Welder to grow with our team!
Data Metalcraft is a manufacturer of formed sheet metal and welded cabinets used in fiber communications, power grids, and industrial products. Our products utilize a broad range of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
Available Shifts:
1st Shift 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (M-F)
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate spot welding equipment by adjusting current, timing, and pressure settings.
- Perform resistance welding on sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Monitor welding performance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and production efficiency.
- Train new operators on equipment setup, welding techniques, and safety procedures.
- Provide coaching, technical support, and mentorship to team members.
- Inspect welds through visual checks and physical testing to verify structural integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Ensure completed parts meet blueprint, dimensional, torque, and quality requirements.
- Identify and correct quality issues to minimize defects and rework.
- Dress, repair, or replace worn electrodes and consumable components.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of spot welding and manufacturing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of resistance welding principles and welding parameters.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with welding equipment setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle metal components and production materials.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet physical job demands.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
