Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and concrete work, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to concrete installation, finishing, and restoration. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team on diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures and surfaces.
- Operate concrete mixers and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality results.
- Install rebar and other reinforcements as required for structural integrity.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site duties, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Engage in heavy lifting and manual labor as necessary for project completion.
- Participate in renovation projects, including plastering, flooring installation, and masonry work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project duration.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
- Experience with construction estimating for project planning.
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing, and pumping techniques.
- Familiarity with hardscape installation methods.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing.
- Skills in caulking, stucco application, tile laying, and flooring installation are advantageous.
- Background in restoration projects is beneficial.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately is essential.
