American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and GE MRI scanner proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Colorado.

Acute care hospital radiology department with 1 GE 1.5T MRI scanner
-
Average of 30 scans per 24-hour period

IV insertion is required as part of this role

Charting via Epic; imaging via Fuji and Synapse PACS
-
10-hour night shifts, working every other Thursday and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
-
On-call requirement of typically one night per week and one weekend per month

Holiday coverage is required

No floating to other areas required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

Current BLS (AHA) certification required — pending certifications not accepted

ARRT (MR) certification required — pending certifications not accepted

Experience on GE MRI equipment required

Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses not accepted

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; a valid driver's license is used to verify permanent address

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Perform standard MRI Technologist duties including patient prep, IV placement, and image acquisition on a GE 1.5T scanner

Both in-house and remote radiologist coverage available

Department-specific orientation provided; candidates must be present in-state for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely

A radiation badge (rad badge) will be provided by American Traveler

Dress code requires black pants and a royal blue top; scrubs are not provided

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Travelers in this region are expected to be able to float within the hired zone per facility float radius policy and should secure housing accordingly
