Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of irrigation systems throughout our multiple residential developments, golf courses, and commercial properties. This leadership position requires a hands-on professional with extensive knowledge of commercial irrigation systems, new installations, and large-scale water management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing irrigation across multiple communities or developments while ensuring efficient water usage, system reliability, and exceptional landscape quality.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage all irrigation systems throughout multiple residential developments and commercial properties.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee new irrigation installations for community expansion and capital improvement projects.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial irrigation systems, pumps, valves, controllers, wiring, and related components.
- Program and manage central irrigation control systems to maximize water efficiency.
- Monitor water usage and ensure compliance with local water management regulations.
- Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend system life.
- Supervise and train irrigation technicians and assign daily work schedules.
- Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, landscapers, and management on new development projects.
- Read and interpret irrigation blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory, and equipment logs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all company safety standards.
- Respond to irrigation emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of irrigation management experience, preferably overseeing multiple developments or large commercial properties.
- Proven experience with new irrigation system installations from planning through completion.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial irrigation systems, including:
- Central control systems
- Pumps and pump stations
- Two-wire systems
- Controllers
- Valves
- Sensors
- PVC pipe installation and repair
- Ability to read irrigation plans and construction drawings.
- Experience managing crews and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient with irrigation software and basic computer applications.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Florida Irrigation Association (FIA) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with golf course irrigation systems.
- Experience working in HOA communities or master-planned developments.
- Knowledge of water conservation best practices and smart irrigation technology.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding work.
- Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
