Job Summary

Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure peak performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; conduct electrical diagnostics for system faults.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line adjustments.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components associated with property maintenance tasks.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport equipment or parts between job sites.
- Use field service techniques to respond promptly to service calls, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient problem resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar construction or mechanical maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing practices, and electrical troubleshooting methods.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, and appliance servicing in commercial or residential settings.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by field service expertise; ability to read technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience working with property maintenance teams or in environments requiring property upkeep is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating specialized vehicles such as <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Certifications in HVAC/R systems are highly desirable; ongoing training in refrigeration or advanced HVAC design is a plus.
