Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmology, patient care, and optical services, with a passion for improving vision health. This role involves conducting thorough eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, and delivering exceptional patient service in a dynamic clinical environment.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and other eye diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and coordinate optical services to meet patient needs.
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with ophthalmology specialists when specialized medical intervention is required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, explaining treatment plans clearly, and fostering trust.
- Handle eyecare emergencies.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice.
- Experience with optical equipment and familiarity with optical dispensing procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical records management, medical coding, and billing practices.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach to patient care.
