Midwest Molding, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned, ISO 9001 certified custom injection molding company located in Plain City, Ohio. We specialize in high-volume production of complex components and assemblies for the automotive, automotive electronics, and consumer goods industries. Our modern facility runs 24/7 with a fleet of over 70 all-electric injection molding machines ranging from 45 to 1,800 tons (primarily Shibaura/Toshiba with some Milacron). All machines are fully networked with process data stored in our ERP system.
We are looking for a hands-on Injection Molding Process Engineer who can process virtually any type of mold — from engineered resin automotive tools to thin-walled consumer product molds. The ideal candidate will own the processes running in the plant, maintain excellent records and notes, and confidently lead customer trials and sampling activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and own robust injection molding processes using scientific molding principles
Hands-on setup, processing, troubleshooting, and optimization on all-electric machines (Toshiba/Shibaura and Milacron)
Maintain detailed process documentation, setup sheets, notes, and standard work for all assigned processes
Lead customer trials, first-article samples, and process validations
Use real-time data from our networked machines and ERP system to drive improvements in cycle time, scrap reduction, and quality
Troubleshoot process, material, tooling, and equipment issues
Train and mentor process technicians and operators
Support continuous improvement and new product introductions

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Experience:
