The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative and Production Assistant to join our team! In this multifaceted role, you will be a friendly face and voice for our clients, providing exceptional customer support while assisting with various creative and production tasks. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple projects efficiently and have an innate understanding of the importance of exceptional customer service.
Responsibilites
The position requires an exceptional attitude, great attention to detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. The primary responsibility of any employee within the organization is customer service.
The following is a list of daily job responsibilities for this position. Although this list is not exhaustive, it sets the day-to-day expectations for an entry-level employee in this position.
Working under the supervision of the owner and/or store manager, the CSR / Production Assistant performs all activities to assemble a finished product, ensuring the highest quality at the lowest possible cost and meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Check with supervisor to obtain work assignments.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email and in person.
- Provide outstanding client service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and offering product or service information with clarity and patience.
- Review job tickets and plan work processes to ensure customer specifications and deadlines are met, while maximizing workflow efficiencies.
- Be aware of special instructions that may impact the production or finishing process.
- Identify, retrieve, and stage material for production or finishing.
- Perform assigned activities to produce completed products, including set up, scoring, cutting, taping, collating, inserting, gluing, heat pressing, etc., according to departmental procedures.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Report unusual conditions, issues, or outcomes to supervisor. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges, analyze issues quickly, and implement effective solutions
- Maintain quality and production records to provide useful information on the given job.
- Constantly monitor quality of finished product.
- Package material according to job requirements and ensure production of the correct quantity.
- Communicate well with customers and coworkers and in a professional manner.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and work with technicians for repairs when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a print shop, graphic design, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience in the Graphic Communications/Printing industry is a plus; attention to detail is a must.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of PC skills. Familiarity with design software like Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, handle materials, tools and equipment, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Quarterly skills assessments provide opportunities to evaluate and reward essential skills in this role, with mastery tied to wage increases. Every 12 months, we conduct a performance appraisal to assess your ongoing contributions, skills, and growth. As you demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and improvement in your role, you’ll have the opportunity for pay increases. Our goal is to ensure that your compensation reflects your value to the company while encouraging professional development.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
