Position: Retail Operations Manager – Multi Locations
Location: New Jersey / New York
Our company, a rapidly growing brand with a focus on specialty food and confectionery, is in the process of expanding our retail presence in the United States. We are looking for a dynamic leader to oversee and drive the growth of our brick-and-mortar stores on the East Coast.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall operational efficiency and performance of all our retail locations, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
In this role, you will lead and provide support to our field leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retail Operations & Standards: Oversee daily operations across all retail locations to ensure consistent execution of company standards and operational excellence.
- Field Leadership & Coaching: Directly manage, coach, and establish clear performance goals for District Managers and Store Managers.
- Hiring & Talent Management: Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning for key retail personnel and field leadership.
- Performance & Sales Growth: Monitor sales results and KPIs, partnering with store leadership to develop action plans for underperforming locations.
- Inventory & Project Support: Partner with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, monitor shrinkage, and support new store openings or remodels.
- Compliance & Loss Prevention: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, company safety policies, and proper cash handling procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive retail operations leadership experience.
- Multi-Unit Management: Proven track record of multi-unit retail management required.
- Team Leadership: Direct experience managing and developing District Managers and Store Managers.
- Talent Development: Strong background in hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee relations.
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel regularly to various store locations across the region.
