Summary:
The Marketing and Social Media Specialist supports the marketing and communications efforts of J House and its related companies. This part-time role is responsible for creating engaging digital content, supporting social media and email marketing initiatives, assisting with graphic design and event coverage, and helping strengthen the company’s brands and communications. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in both office and field environments.
Schedule: Part-time, three days per week, with occasional evening or weekend availability based on business and event needs.
Essential Responsibilities
· Create, coordinate, and schedule social media content across applicable platforms.
· Capture high-quality photos and videos at company properties, project locations, events, and other business activities.
· Develop engaging written and visual content that highlights the company’s projects, properties, brands, people, and events.
· Plan and distribute email marketing campaigns and other electronic communications to clients, tenants, guests, and other audiences as appropriate.
· Design graphics, promotional materials, and other marketing collateral for digital and print platforms.
· Produce simple motion graphics, animations, and short-form video content to support marketing campaigns.
· Assist with social media scheduling, content calendars, community engagement, and event coverage.
· Support internal marketing initiatives designed to strengthen the company’s brands and communications.
· Coordinate with internal teams and business partners to gather information, photos, content, and approvals.
· Maintain organized marketing files, content assets, and project materials.
· Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

· Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Creative, proactive, flexible, and team-oriented with a collaborative work ethic.
· Ability to create engaging social media content and adapt content for different audiences
· Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok preferred.
· Experience working with Amadeus software, Eventbrite and/or other corporate travel programs preferred but not required.
· Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable graphic design tools required.
· Experience with email marketing platforms and digital communications preferred.
· Work with influencers and other third parties for marketing needs
· Sentinel Ads, and billboard advertising
· Strong photography and basic video-production skills preferred.
· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk active construction sites, including uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders when necessary.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to both in an office setting
