JOB This is a part time position that will be a “virtual responder,” using advanced technology to support officers on patrol and investigators in the field. Rather than operating like a traditional patrol detective, this role is based in the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), concentrating on collecting and delivering real-time intelligence as situations develop. Work may be performed without regular supervision.
RTCC Police Part-Time Detective works second shift Monday-Friday and/or rotating shifts, including some weekends and holidays. Schedule may require the individual to be flexible for certain events. Monitors high-priority 911 calls and uses cameras, gunshot detection, drones and license plate readers (LPR) to provide responding officers with a "safe approach" and suspect descriptions.

Assists traditional detectives and patrol officers by conducting deep-dive background checks, tracking suspect vehicle movements through LPR history, and reviewing archived surveillance footage.
