Position Summary
The HR Specialist is responsible for executing day-to-day administrative functions of the Human Resources department, focusing on payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and employee life-cycle support from recruiting through offboarding. This role requires high confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail.

Essential Functions
- Process bi-weekly payroll and 401K accurately and timely using automated systems.
- Manage and reconcile employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence.
- Facilitate the recruitment process: post jobs, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for all employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
Additional Duties
- Maintain vendor portal access and manage employee apparel.
- Organize annual health clinics (Flu/COVID).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High degree of confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (ADP) and retirement plan management (Fidelity).
- Strong administrative and documentation skills for compliance reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, or benefits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and HRIS platforms.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

- Work is generally performed in a climate controlled environment
- May be required to be in one place for extended periods of time
- Will be required to work with other employees frequently
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
