The Goddard School of Lewisville(Castle Hills) is looking for fun, energetic, and responsible floating teachers for our school. The mission of the Floating Teacher role is to assist in various capacities throughout the school in support of caring for children and educating young minds. The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget-based (Learning through Play) foundation and is a leader in the preschool industry. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our faculty is made up of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. Responsibilities
- Foster a warm environment where children feel welcome and cared for
- Meet the individual educational needs of the children
- Participate in staff and training meetings
- Guide play, exploration, and learning
- Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Work as part of a team of fun and remarkable educators
- Escort children to and from their classrooms at drop-off and pick-up
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children
- Works productively without supervision
- Basic understanding of child development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
