What You’ll Do:

- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of industrial food processing equipment, packaging machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, and production support systems.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and industrial wiring experience (120V, 240V, 480V, and industrial control circuits).
- Knowledge of motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, control panels, and electrical components.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and food processing equipment.
- Ability to read electrical prints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment is preferred.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Install, wire, modify, and commission new equipment, motors, sensors, control devices, and production systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical control circuits (preferred based on experience level).
- Fabricate, modify, and install equipment, guards, piping, and machine components to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of replacement parts, equipment components, and critical spare parts inventory.
- Identify required replacement parts, research specifications, and coordinate or complete parts ordering to support timely repairs.
- Work closely with Production, FSFQ, Warehouse, Sanitation, Engineering, and other departments to communicate equipment issues, coordinate repairs, and minimize operational disruptions.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns while effectively prioritizing multiple maintenance requests.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, food safety requirements, GMPs, SQF standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately complete maintenance work orders, equipment histories, and preventive maintenance documentation within the company's maintenance management system.
- Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work environment.
- Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a member of the maintenance team.
- Participate in on-call, weekend, or emergency maintenance support as required.
