Sales Leader, Royal Hawaiian Center Job Overview
The Sales Lead plays a pivotal role in driving sales performance, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting day-to-day store operations. As a key bridge between the Store Manager and the Sales Associate team, this role models excellence in selling behaviors, service standards, and brand storytelling while assisting in operational execution to ensure the store runs smoothly.
At the Royal Hawaiian Center location, the Sales Lead supports a unique retail experience that brings together House of Mana Up, Manoa Chocolate, and Kō Hana Rum under one roof. This role balances the priorities of all three brands by delivering exceptional customer experiences, sharing each brand’s unique story, and driving sales across retail products and tasting experiences.
The Sales Lead motivates and develops team members through on-floor coaching, goal setting, and consistent accountability to store KPIs. They also assist with visual execution, signage, activations, and overall store readiness.
This position reports directly to the Store Manager at the Royal Hawaiian Center location.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Experience
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional, genuine customer service.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team KPIs (AOV, UPT, Conversion, Sales Goals, and tasting participation goals).
- Drive a selling culture focused on customer connection, storytelling, and add-on sales.
- Support the Store Manager in daily goal setting, motivating the team, and celebrating results.
- Build product knowledge across the team by reinforcing information shared by the Product and Marketing teams.
- Confidently represent House of Mana Up, Manoa Chocolate, and Kō Hana Rum, ensuring each brand receives thoughtful customer engagement and equal focus.
- Introduce and promote chocolate and rum tasting experiences by helping guests understand the value of each experience and encouraging participation.
- Seamlessly guide customers between retail products and tasting experiences by identifying opportunities to cross-sell and enhance their visit.
Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as the on-floor leader when the Store Manager is off-site.
- Provide real-time feedback and coaching to Sales Associates to strengthen selling and service skills.
- Support new hire onboarding, including training on store standards, product knowledge, and POS.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy store culture aligned with House of Mana Up values.
- Coach team members on product storytelling, tasting experiences, and selling techniques across all three brands to create one seamless guest experience.
Operations & Visual Execution
- Assist with maintaining daily operational standards, including cleanliness, organization, and merchandising.
- Lead execution of signage, product displays, and event activations as directed by the Store Manager.
- Ensure accurate handling of POS transactions and cash management procedures.
- Monitor Slack and Notion channels for company updates and ensure in-store compliance.
- Support visual resets, stock replenishment, and product storytelling displays in collaboration with the Product and Marketing teams.
- Maintain visual standards and operational readiness across all three brand areas while ensuring a cohesive guest experience throughout the shared retail environment.
- Support the preparation and presentation of tasting stations, ensuring they remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready throughout the day.
Store Activations & Events
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and Marketing team to plan, execute, and recap in-store activations.
- Coordinate setup logistics, signage, and supplies for activations and ensure a successful post-event reset.
- Capture and share activation highlights, feedback, and results to relevant teams.
- Support promotional events and tasting experiences that showcase House of Mana Up, Manoa Chocolate, and Kō Hana Rum while driving traffic, engagement, and sales across the entire store.

KPI & Performance Expectations
The Sales Lead is accountable for personal and team performance in the following areas:
- Average Order Value (AOV): $50 minimum
- Units Per Transaction (UPT): 2.5 minimum
- Conversion Rate: 18% minimum
- Daily Sales Goal: As defined by location targets and Store Manager direction
- Support achievement of established tasting participation goals for chocolate and rum experiences.
Performance will be measured through weekly sales reports, on-floor observations, contribution to store culture, operational excellence, and success in driving both retail sales and tasting experiences across all three brands.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of retail experience; leadership or keyholder experience preferred.
- Strong selling, communication, and organizational skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in POS systems (Shopify preferred) and familiarity with Slack or Notion a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and confidently communicate the stories, products, and experiences of multiple Hawaiʻi-based brands.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
