Duties

- Assist families in navigating healthcare systems, including scheduling appointments and understanding public health policies.
- Support program development by participating in planning sessions, developing educational materials, and evaluating outreach strategies.
- Promote community engagement through public speaking events, motivational interviewing, and client communication to foster trust and participation.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and client interaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Must speak Spanish.
- Knowledge of public health law policy, community health practices, and program planning methodologies.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities through community outreach or engagement initiatives.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for maintaining accurate patient records.
- Skills in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change and promote health literacy.
- Understanding of nutrition principles relevant to pediatric health promotion.
