Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials and components, verifying deliveries, organizing inventory, and making sure materials are delivered to the correct person or department in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Forklift experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming materials, components, and shipments.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quantity, and visible damage.
- Verify received items against packing slips, purchase orders, or other documentation.
- Properly label, organize, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
- Process receiving transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Deliver or distribute components and materials to the appropriate person, department, or work area.
- Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment safely, or be willing to learn.
- Maintain an organized and clean receiving and warehouse area.
- Communicate discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or other receiving issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse activities as needed.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers and other departments to keep materials moving efficiently.
- Follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
- Perform other related warehouse and receiving duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience is a plus; willingness to learn is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with others and communicate professionally.
- Basic organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required for the position.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for receiving, inventory, or data entry.
- English and Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of materials.
