Duties/Skills
- Operate the planer to shape and smooth wood surfaces according to specified dimensions and tolerances
- You will learn to change knives on planer heads, adjust cutting tools, feed rates, depths of cut and adjusting pressure rollers to meet precise specifications.
- This job requires a blend of technical mechanical skills, strict adherence to safety protocols, and keen attention to quality control.
- Physical requirements- ability to lift 50- 75lbs , stand for long periods and be able to read a tape measure
- Training on the job, prior experience is beneficial and can lead to a higher starting pay.
- Starting at $19.00 / hour. Raise likely after training.
