Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care for individuals with diverse needs. This energetic role involves supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring they live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately and promptly.
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed
- Preparing meals, doing laundry, and performing light housework
- Assisting with daily living tasks, such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
- Identifying and addressing safety issues in the home or facility
- Keeping accurate records of care provided
- Communicating with medical professionals about client care plans
- Tending to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship

Requirements
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes involving patient observation and direct support roles
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures necessary for patient safety
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring in accordance with care plans
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and healthcare providers
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed; experience in long-term care environments is highly valued
- When not actively driving, these caregivers typically assist with other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
- Companionship: Engaging in conversation and providing social interaction to prevent isolation.
- Errand Running: Picking up prescriptions at the pharmacy, shopping for groceries, or completing other necessary tasks either with or on behalf of the client
- A driving caregiver is responsible for safely transporting clients to medical appointments, pharmacies, and social activities while providing essential physical and emotional support. They ensure the passenger's comfort and safety from door to door, bridging the gap between independent living and community engagement.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
