Early Learning Assistant/Floater
The YMCA of Collier County is seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Early Learning Assistant/Floater to support our Early Learning Program serving children ages 2-5 years at our Marco Island Branch. This position works closely with teachers and program leadership to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Schedule:
This position typically works Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. For the right candidate with broader availability, there may be an opportunity to expand into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers with classroom activities, curriculum implementation, and daily routines.

Provide attentive supervision to ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.

Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.

Help maintain accurate attendance and developmental records.

Prepare classrooms and playground areas for daily activities and assist with cleaning and organization.

Communicate positively with parents and families, sharing updates and celebrating children's successes.

Assist with Kid Zone coverage and serve as a substitute when lead teachers are absent.

Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Maintain YMCA policies, procedures, and standards while supporting the YMCA's mission and values.

Must be willing to obtain state mandated 45 hours within 90 days of hire.

Applicant must be over 18 years of age, with reliable transportation, and must be able to pass a national background and drug screening clearance.
