Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring consistency across dishes.
- Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service, catering events, or special occasions.
- Help with food plating and presentation to enhance the overall dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards.
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide work is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
