Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Assist with food handling, wine knowledge, beverage service, and food preparation as needed to support team efforts
- Foster positive guest relations by providing personalized service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance sales performance
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing bills confidently
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices is beneficial; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
