Youth Speak Out International’s mission is to teach media literacy, life skills, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence tools to youth across multiple cultures.
Lights, Camera, Action, AI™ is an innovative, direct-service S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) program that helps students build their AI literacy and interpersonal communication skills as they become proficient in using generative AI safely.
Our program promotes well-being and life skills as students practice and become proficient in emotional management, empathy, teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and taking initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging academic and arts AI enrichment and youth development activities.
- Support STEAM projects, arts programming, or social-emotional learning initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Track attendance, student participation, and record pre- and post-classroom observation notes.
- Communicate effectively with after-school staff and organizational staff.
- Participate in Zoom and in-person staff meetings and professional development trainings.
Required Qualifications
- 2- 4 years of experience working with K– 5th students, preferred in the after-school and or summer program setting
- Proficiency in using iPad technology
- Must clear a level 2 school district background screening through the Florida AHCA
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Basic Computer proficiency for attending Zoom meetings and staff trainings
- Reliable personal vehicle commuting to and from after-schools and community-based sites within Palm Beach County
- Available in the afternoon 4-5 days a week from 2:30-5:30pm (depending on community based programs sites) during school calendar year and or 9:00-5:00 during the summer?
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred)
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
