The Human Resources Coordinator at Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago supports the daily operations of the HR department with a primary focus on payroll processing.
This role is responsible for ensuring weekly payroll is processed accurately and on time every Monday morning. Payroll processing includes reviewing, auditing and resolving payroll discrepancies prior to closing the pay period. The HR Coordinator will also answer payroll related questions, communicate effectively with all departments and run reports. This role will ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal/state/local wage and hour laws.
The HR Coordinator will also support the daily operations of the HR department with administrative tasks, colleague engagement activities and creating a welcoming environment for our colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Availability to process weekly payroll on-property every Monday (including holidays)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous human resources, payroll and/or hotel experience a plus
