Location: One Academy, Niceville FL
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM (no weekends)
About Us:
One Academy is a Christ-centered early childhood program dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We serve families with children from infancy through Pre-K, as well as school-age children through our Before and After School program.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a candidate who is nurturing,dependable, enthusiastic, and committed to helping young children learn, grow and thrive.
As a faith-based program, we are looking for educators who will incorporate Christian values, prayer, and age-appropriate Biblical principles into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Plan and implement daily lessons that support spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times
- Build positive and supportive relationships with children and families
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management practices
- Supervise and actively engage with children during classroom activities, meals, transitions, free play, outdoor time, and rest periods
- Communicate regularly with parents about child progress and classroom updates
- Work cooperatively with lead teachers, co-teachers, administration, and other staff members
- Model Christian values and lead children in prayer and age-appropriate Biblical lessons
- Follow all policies and procedures and applicable Florida child care licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with young children preferred
- Experience in a licensed early childhood setting is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood coursework a plus
- Strong communication,teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable, puntial, patient, nurturing, and professional
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and accept direction and feedback
- Must pass background checks and meet state health and safety requirements
- Must be committed to working in a Christ-centered environment and supporting the faith-based mission
