Pay: $32.00 - $34.50/hr. DOE
Location: San Jose, CA (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Full-time, 44 hours/week
Shift: AWS Schedule (11.5-hour shifts)
- BP Shift: Sunday Tuesday + every other Wednesday (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)
- GP Shift: Thursday Saturday + every other Wednesday (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)
Position Overview
Tekberry is seeking a Maintenance Technician III Wafer Equipment to support our client in their semiconductor wafer manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production tools within a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electro-mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production setting.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment
Troubleshoot and repair production tools to identify root cause and ensure long-term reliability
Accurately document maintenance activities in CMMS systems and tool logbooks
Support Equipment Engineers and Tool Owners in improving tool uptime and performance
Maintain detailed records including PM checklists, parts usage, and maintenance history
Follow all cleanroom protocols and safety procedures
Continuously develop technical skills through training and hands-on experience
Assist with ongoing process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment (Photo, Thin Films, Plating, Etch, CMP)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and control systems
Experience performing failure analysis and root cause troubleshooting
Experience using DVMs and standard mechanical tools
Education
Technical degree in Electronics, OR
ASE Certification, OR
Military experience (electro-mechanical), OR
Semiconductor industry experience
Work Environment
Cleanroom manufacturing environment
Fast-paced, production-driven setting
Requires adherence to strict safety and contamination control standards
