Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will inspire and nurture young learners during their formative years, fostering a love for discovery, play, and learning. Your energetic approach will create a warm, engaging classroom environment where toddlers feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. You will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and collaborate closely with families to ensure each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood growth in literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning styles and needs.
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Lead classroom routines such as circle time, play activities, snack time, and rest periods while maintaining safety protocols including first aid and CPR readiness.
Experience
- Prior experience working directly with children in early childhood settings, preferably with toddlers aged two years old.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including literacy education, preschool teaching methods, and standardized testing where applicable.
- Experience collaborating with families to support child welfare and developmental goals.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and working within private school environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are highly desirable.
