New to Bindery and Saddle Stitching but you’re mechanically inclined? Let’s talk! We may have the opportunity to offer additional training and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain high-speed Heidelberg and Muller saddle stitchers plus supporting bindery equipment
- Perform routine maintenance including knife changes, stitch head adjustments, greasing, and lubrication
- Monitor production flow, quality, and safety across the department to hit tight deadlines
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager, Operations team, and leads from Folding & Cutting
- Review job instructions, make smart decisions on stitching methods, and ensure top-tier accuracy
- Keep detailed production records while maintaining impeccable housekeeping and safety standards
What You Bring:
- Solid hands-on experience with Heidelberg and Muller saddle stitchers (or similar high-volume equipment)
- Knowledge of shrink wrappers, wafer sealers, gluing, and mailing systems
- Strong math and measurement skills with the ability to interpret written instructions
- A proven track record of reliability, excellent attendance, and great teamwork
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a positive safety-first attitude
- Readiness to work overtime and weekends when big jobs demand it
