We are seeking a proactive and skilled Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic rental team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of building systems, properties and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and facilities infrastructure to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; repair electrical equipment as needed.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs to maintain building interior and exterior spaces.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures to accurately diagnose issues.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving facilities equipment upgrades or installations while ensuring safety compliance.
- Support the maintenance of residential environments by adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.
- Lead or participate in team efforts related to facilities maintenance, demonstrating leadership skills when supervising junior staff or contractors.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior upkeep.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, CMMS software, and troubleshooting electrical equipment with tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), plumbing system maintenance & repair, HVAC system repair & servicing.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical work standards is essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, electrical equipment repair, maintenance painting, and MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations).
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and customer service when interacting with team members or tenants.
