Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a box truck and/or tractor trailer to pick up and deliver Food Bank of Lincoln products on a route schedule. This includes product pick-ups from retailers and deliveries to mobile pantry operations and local nonprofit agencies. This driver will be responsible for safely loading and unloading product onto and from trucks. Our drivers build relationships with donors and community members using positive, friendly attitudes and becoming familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Daily deliveries to partners in Lincoln.
- Daily pickups from local retailers and grocery stores.
- Load and unload product at partners, agencies, stores, and at the Food Bank by forklift, pallet jacks or by hand.
- Enter incoming and outgoing product into Food Bank inventory software system.
- Provide assistance in Distribution Center – including, but not limited to preparing product for distribution, recycling, cleaning, etc.
- Participate in the ongoing cleaning and maintenance of Food Bank vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct daily truck inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
- Support the Food Bank’s overall safety efforts.
- Support and practice food safety and AIB processes.
- Part-time, 20-25 hours per week, typically 8:00am-1:00pm (or 7:30-12:30?) Monday-Friday.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively execute with a diverse group of staff, donors, community partners, and volunteers.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and both manual and electric pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
· Valid Nebraska CDL-A or B driver’s license and insurable.
- High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
- Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and physical requirement.
