We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate delivery vehicles efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring safe handling of items.
- Operate a box truck or similar vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining a schedule for timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients upon delivery.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading as needed.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with route driving and commercial driving regulations.
- Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks for loading/unloading tasks.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate handling of goods and paperwork.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods during deliveries.
