Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repair, and service of fleet trucks and heavy equipment.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Basic knowledge of computers.
Task and Work Activities:

Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance is completed according to the manufacture's specifications and guidelines.

Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.

Repairs or replaces defective parts.
-
Perform servicing company vehicles and equipment according to company procedures as required.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Lubricates and cleans parts.

Identify and report vehicle and machine damage, safety concerns and malfunctions to supervisor.

Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.

Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.

Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with drivers, operators, and technicians.

Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.

Inspects equipment conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc) and monitors oil flow and temperature observing gauges to measure performance.
Education, Requirements and Experience:

Ability to do basic math.
-
Must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license.
