American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Provides respiratory therapy services across all appropriate age levels and all areas served by the department

Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program required

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred

RRT credential required
-
Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required; license required if applicable

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
-
ACLS certification from AHA required within 3 months of hire

All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and documents patient responses in the computerized medical record

Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
-
Serves as a resource person to medical staff and ensures respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained
-
Participates as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning another contract

Compliance requirements, including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements, must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance and completed by the compliance due date — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
