American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1+ year of experience and CNMT certification for an acute care Level 2 trauma facility.
-
Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma facility
-
Nuclear Medicine department with 5 scanners, including 1 PET scanner
-
Perform a full range of Nuclear Medicine scans on patients from infants through adults
-
Average of 20 scans/studies per day, performed as part of a team
-
Uses Cerner EMR and Siemens/SECTRA PACS
-
Siemens department-specific equipment
-
Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday

No self-scheduling or block scheduling; may be the only tech in the department depending on shift
-
On-call requirements for weekends and holidays based on rotation
-
No floating to other departments required
-
Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required

BLS certification (AHA) required
-
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required

License required if applicable
-
General Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT experience preferred

Must be able to independently start IVs

Cerner EMR experience preferred as department transitions to Epic
-
First-time travelers and duo candidates will be considered
-
Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging and scans as part of a collaborative team, not working independently

Organizational radiologist coverage available 24/7
-
Department-specific orientation up to 1 week, including computer-based training, system access, and shadowing with a colleague for the first few days
-
On-call response required for weekends and holidays depending on rotation
-
No assigned scrub color and scrubs are not provided

Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
