Concentric Corporation is partnering with a growing commercial construction organization to identify an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations across two affiliated companies.
This is a highly visible leadership position with direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to serve as a strategic financial partner to Operations and Project Management. The Controller will oversee the day-to-day accounting function while helping strengthen financial reporting, processes, internal controls, and overall financial performance.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial construction accounting, understands the financial complexities of project-based businesses, and is comfortable balancing hands-on accounting leadership with strategic decision-making.

- Lead accounting and financial operations across two affiliated companies
- Oversee financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, treasury, payroll, tax, compliance, and audit activities
- Manage construction project accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, owner billings, and AIA applications
- Partner closely with Operations and Project Managers to monitor project financial performance, costs, forecasts, and profitability
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and other financial information for executive leadership
- Oversee cash flow, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury activities
- Manage intercompany accounting and ensure accurate reporting across affiliated entities
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiencies
- Support tax, compliance, and external audit requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
- Provide financial insight and recommendations that support operational and strategic business decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of commercial construction accounting experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting leadership or management experience
- Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar financial leadership role
- Strong knowledge of construction project accounting and job costing
- Experience with WIP reporting and owner billings/AIA applications
- Strong understanding of cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Proven experience leading and developing accounting professionals
- Ability to effectively partner with Operations, Project Management, and executive leadership
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and sound financial judgment
- Strong experience with Vista ERP
- Experience overseeing accounting across multiple affiliated entities
- Commercial construction experience within a growing or evolving organization
- Experience improving financial processes, systems, reporting, and internal controls
