Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in managing family law cases, ensuring smooth workflow and effective client communication. Your expertise will help facilitate the preparation of legal documents, organize case files, participate in trial preparation and assist attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services to clients navigating family law matters. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining client files using legal case management software such as MyCase.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents related to family law cases, including petitions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources to support case strategies and ensure procedural compliance.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for case development while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Manage deadlines and court filings accurately within procedural law requirements across jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with courts, clients, and external agencies to facilitate document submissions and case updates.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and handling phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on family law or related legal fields.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal drafting, and document review processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, and other legal research tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for client interviews, written correspondence, and team collaboration.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as filing court documents electronically or physically, primarily using the Maryland Electronic Court Filing System (MDEC).
- Familiarity with project management principles and legal support systems like Maryland Family Law and the Maryland Rules of Civil Procedure.

Pay: $54,975.02 - $70,000.00 per year
