We are looking for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist who is passionate about building connections, supporting clinical excellence, and enhancing the overall patient experience in a primary care setting.
Overview:
As a Medical Assistant with Hometown Primary Care, you’ll be a vital member of our care team — supporting physicians and providers with clinical and administrative responsibilities that ensure smooth, efficient visits and a positive experience for every patient. Your role will help foster trust, continuity, and preventive care success for patients throughout their primary care journey with us.
Duties:

Welcomes patients and visitors into our Care Centers with compassion and provide exceptional customer service.

Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.

Handle payments for services, including applicable co-pays.

Answer multi-line phone system

Daily reconciliation of monies collected

Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team.

Take patient histories and accurately document vital signs

Perform point-of-care testing: strep, mono, glucose, urinalysis, pregnancy, etc.

Conduct phlebotomy and prepare samples for lab processing

Administer immunizations and injections per provider orders

Assist with routine exams and procedures (i.e., EKGs, ear/eye irrigations, pelvic exams)

Educate patients on medication, preventive care, and follow-up instructions

Handle patient callbacks, pharmacy coordination, and referral scheduling

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and patient-ready

Support front-desk duties, including check-in, insurance verification, and payment collection

Participate in training and onboarding of new team members
Requirements
-
1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting preferred
-
Strong E-Clinical Works Experience Preferred

Passion for primary care or Internal Medicine

Self-starter with excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
-
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Flexibility to travel within region as needed
