Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Riggers to join our dynamic construction team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently setting up, securing, and dismantling heavy equipment and materials on construction sites. Your expertise in rigging techniques, heavy machinery operation, and materials handling will ensure projects progress smoothly and safely. - Safely rig, lift, and position heavy equipment, structural components, and materials using cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery
- Prepare rigging gear such as slings, hooks, shackles, and hoists to ensure secure lifting operations
- Conduct thorough inspections of rigging equipment and machinery before use to guarantee safety standards are met
- Coordinate with crane operators, construction managers, and team members to execute lifting plans efficiently
- Handle materials transfer within warehouses or construction sites, including shipping & receiving tasks
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or temporary structures as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of all rigging activities, equipment inspections, and safety checks to ensure compliance with industry regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in rigging within construction or industrial environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience operating trucks such as forklift, boom truck, backhoe, or excavator
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and boom trucks safely and effectively
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
