About Us
Tineo Peruvian Cafe is a family-owned restaurant and artisan bakery bringing authentic Peruvian flavors and warm hospitality to Richardson, TX. Rooted in recipes and traditions from a small town north of Lima, Peru, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., along with a full selection of house-made desserts and Peruvian bread. We're looking for friendly, reliable servers to join our team.
What You'll Do
- Greet every guest warmly and promptly upon arrival
- Present menus, describe dishes and ingredients, and explain daily specials
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them promptly
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, checking in to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area and area behind register
- Process all sales through the POS accurately and handle cash/card payments with care
- Communicate with kitchen staff on order timing, modifications, and allergies
- Bus and reset tables between guests
- Provide knowledgeable, welcoming service that reflects Peruvian hospitality
- Must obtain a Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire
What We're Looking For
- Previous serving experience preferred, but not required
- Positive, warm attitude with strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and staying attentive on the floor
- Reliable availability and punctuality
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred, Spanish is required.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
- Pay: $15-$20 an hour (With tips. Tips are paid out daily, no tip out)
- Schedule: Open availability, especially on weekends and holidays
- License/Certification: Food Handler Certification (Required)
