Job Summary:
High end child care facility is seeking a dedicated and reliable Lead Chef to join our team. As a Lead Chef you will be responsible for preparation and cooking of all food, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. You will also be responsible for washing of dishes, delivery and pick up of the food to and from classrooms within the school This is a fast-paced environment that requires speed, time management and a fast mover! You are the only person in the kitchen, so all tasks are done by the Lead Chef.

**** Must have up to date physical and TB Test on NC forms
Duties:
- Food preparation, including chopping vegetables, fruits, preparing sauces, cooking meats
- Cook food according to recipes and portion sizes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, proper food storage and disposing of waste properly
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with admin team to ensure smooth operations during meal service
- Inventory management, ordering and restocking supplies as needed
- Adhere to shift schedule
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food service and kitchen management practices is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations is beneficial
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
