Job Summary
We are looking for a 3-year-old teacher assistant to join our amazing team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. We're a small, faith-based preschool where teachers are supported, families are valued, and children are known and loved.
Duties
- Assist lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities
- Support classroom management efforts by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking
- Help with classroom setup, cleanup, and material preparation for various educational activities
- Collaborate with teacher to monitor individual student progress and provide tailored support as needed
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- DCF 45 hours (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to assist in behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth through engaging activities and supportive interactions
