We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Manager to lead our store operations within our Franciscan values with enthusiasm and a customer-centric mindset. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a talented sales team, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers and visitors from all over the world. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize inventory management, and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system oversight.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to maximize product availability and presentation.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Monitor store performance metrics such as sales figures, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction scores; adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures while fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven retail management experience with strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in negotiating with vendors, managing budgets, and overseeing purchasing processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving our diverse customer base.
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail math, merchandising principles, pricing strategies, and operational management.
- Requires prolonged standing approximately five to nine hours per day.
- Requires stooping and kneeling as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks and displays.
- May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
- Required to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs. regularly. In certain circumstances, weights may be higher.
- Must have good vision, including color differentiation.
- The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy retail setting.
- Successful Background Check and a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
