JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a professional Credit Analyst to determine our customers’ creditworthiness. You will analyze financial data to assess the likelihood of a borrower honoring their financial obligations. The portfolios include commercial real estate, personal real estate, business, and consumer loans. This includes analyzing financial statements and tax returns, monitoring compliance with Loan Policy and regulatory guidelines, assisting with loan structure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Provides accurate financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing borrowers.
· Review and analyze financial statements and tax returns submitted by applicants to evaluate their ability to repay.
· Performs periodic reviews of credit when more frequent monitoring may be app ropriate.
· Analyzes and reviews the financial condition of existing bank customers by exhibiting a high level of proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, word processing and financial analysis software.
· Interprets and evaluates consumer credit bureau reports.
· Responsible for identifying trends in client activities which may be predictive of deteriorating credit quality.
· Review of appraisals and evaluations to ensure guidelines have been met.
Credit Risk Management
· Responsible for monitoring clients within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreements.
· Monitors high risk loans via established procedures, with recommended transfers to the Special Assets Departments as appropriate.
· Ensures that renewals are completed on a timely basis to avoid administrative past dues.
· Ensures that annual reviews are completed in a timely fashion and that loans within the bank’s portfolio are properly risk graded.
· Performs periodic reviews of credits where more frequent monitoring may be appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred; preferably in a business related field.
· Prefer experience in commercial loan and underwriting in a financial services environment or have related degree in a business related field.

· Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Thorough knowledge of financial statement and tax return analyzing software.

· Ability to make sound transactional decisions to ensure policies and directives are met.
· Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of personal performance and development.
