Nurse Aide training and certification is offered to Nurse Aide Trainees who successfully meet the qualifications, and manage the responsibilities listed below:
The Nurse Aide Trainee is expected to support an atmosphere of helpfulness, professionalism, and collaboration within the team.
This position supports direct resident care by performing given basic tasks.
The Aide will follow all performance standards and perform all duties according to established Lutheran Community at Telford policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, Residents' Rights, and Safety and Infection Control.
Displays compliance with Federal, State, and local agencies as well as industry organizations, agencies and partners.
Provides support to the nursing team as assigned, including setting up dining rooms, recording meal intakes, delivering trays, delivering ice water, transporting residents and stocking supplies in resident's rooms.
Completes assignments in a timely manner.
Identify special resident problems, safety hazards, and emergency situations, and report them immediately to the Primary Care nurse.
Review Care Plans.
Document intakes accurately in Care Tracker.
Adhere to all infection control procedures and processes.
Participates in unit activities and meetings as directed.
Performs other related duties as directed by the Primary Care Nurse, Shift Supervisor, or Nurse Manager.
Adheres to the Values and Expectations Statement, and elements of the compliance program.
Have the ability to follow directives and work with an attitude of cooperation and a willingness to learn.
Must deliver quality customer service in a positive and respectful manner.
Possess the desire to care for the elderly.
Have good communication skills.
Must possess the ability to obtain proficiency with newly acquired skills and procedures.
Have the ability to follow directives and prioritize tasks per resident needs.
Possess the ability to work with an attitude of cooperation and willingness to learn.
