Apply current Licensed Social Worker (Non‑Mental Health) standards of care (e.g., guidelines, best practices) relevant to cases such as discharge planning, case coordination, social determinants of health, complex placement, caregiver education and community resources.
Prepare a concise chronology and narrative analysis, respond directly to case‑specific questions, and cite authoritative references when appropriate.
Maintain strict confidentiality of VA quality‑assurance records and data; follow all PRI/VC security and privacy requirements.
Complete attestation of qualifications and absence of conflict of interest prior to assignment; submit reviews within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program.
Current state licensure at the independent level (e.g., LCSW) with hospital or health‑system experience.
3+ years experience in discharge planning, case coordination, and community resource navigation; strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical writing and critical appraisal of medical records.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs)/PDF case packets and secure file portals.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and provide objective, defensible opinions.
Compensation (Flat Rate per Review)
Compensation is based on the VA Tier assigned to this specialty and is paid per completed review (hours may vary by case).
