Young & Son's Moving (Owned and Operated by Young Holdings, LLC) is a moving company based out of Raleigh, NC. We are seeking reliable and capable individuals who have a flexible schedule who aren't afraid to do some heavy lifiting!
This job would be perfect for a college student, or just anyone looking to earn some money on the side. When a job is available, we will notify you and give you the opportunity to accept the job. Your pay will be provided before you take the job, and you will get paid same day.
Duties
- Safely load and unload items using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Transport goods to designated locations using box trucks or other commercial vehicles, adhering to route schedules and safety protocols
- Assist customers with moving furniture and belongings, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly securing loads and managing equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate move details and address any concerns
- Operate manual transmission vehicles and commercial driving equipment in compliance with all traffic laws and safety standards
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and readiness
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward clients and team members
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently while handling cargo and operating vehicles
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis with varying schedules
