POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Entry-Level Financial Manager to manage several internal systems such as client billings, credit card reconciliations and Quickbooks software while learning how to oversee client financial estates. You will manage daily financial activity for our clients, ensuring their bills are paid, assets and benefits are protected, independence is fostered and court accountings are perfectly accurate. This is not a cold corporate accounting job; your financial precision directly ensures a vulnerable person has a safe home, secure care and basic needs are met while planning for a sustainable future.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approach all tasks and clients with objectivity, leaving personal bias aside
- Accurately document and track all time spent on individual clients or company tasks
- Manage and reconcile monthly credit card statement
- Manage the client monthly billing cycle, ensuring compliance with equitable and accurate billing practices
- Set up, update and close utility and cable accounts
- Prepare thorough and accurate court-required accountings and payee reports
- Entry of all client financial transactions into QuickBooks Desktop
- Assist with potential transition to QuickBooks Online or other system
- Manage income, expenditures and assets for an assigned caseload - Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Review and processing the payments of invoices and bills
- Evaluating official notices for accuracy and coordinating with appropriate staff to resolve discrepancies, such as;
- Notices from Social Security Administration regarding benefits
- Determinations issued by the Department of Health and Human Services
- Marshall Assets
- Review bank and investment statements
- Ensure the continuous protection and maintenance of a client's real and personal property
- Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies in direct communication with vendors
- Make short and long term financial plans for each individual client.
- Meet regularly with an assigned Guardian for each individual client to review client status, needs and goals
- Participate in banking process (as access allows)
- Support the Finance and Administration team in various ways to ensure success of the organization in serving its clients
- Engage in continuous professional development and examination to maintain proficiency in industry advancements and related platforms, including:
- Social Security Representative Payee Program
- Attending Michigan Guardianship Association Conferences
- Certification through the Center for Guardianship Certification
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic finance principles
- Excellent computer skills with high degree of proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, internet and e-mail
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to speak, read and understand the English language
- Valid drivers license and insurance
Pay: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
