Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable drivers to join our team in Macon, GA, for a dedicated contracted customer. As a key player in our logistics network, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver refrigerated containers efficiently and on time.
Duties
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across designated areas.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments or delivery updates.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on overweight containers.
- Proven record of operating in Garden City Terminal (Savannah, GA)
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
- Must possess a TWIC card.
