This is an excellent opportunity for Associate Counselors (i.e., LPC-Associate, LMSW, and LMFT-Associate) to gain clinical experience!
Under the direction of the Youth and Family Services Manager, this position gets to work with youth and their families to deliver therapeutic mental health services in accordance with best-practice standards, evidence-based interventions and individualized recovery planning. Services will include skills training and psychosocial rehabilitation and may include case management, intakes, and Hospital Discharge Follow Up appointments. Services will be provided in BTCS’ facilities/offices, community, and/or person’s home; services may be provided in-person or via Tele-Video, as appropriate. This position will primarily serve the Caldwell County School District Counseling referrals.
Services provided by the person in this position promote recovery and wellness, community integration, stable living within the community and improved quality of life. A high level of detailed electronic documentation is required and adherence to company and state guidelines is expected. A minimum of 55% of hours worked are required to be direct services. The person in this position will effectively work independently and on a team, prioritize needs during crisis situations, engage in regular meetings and training opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned with a positive attitude.
Other responsibilities include consultation with staff as needed one-on-one or in small groups. The Counselor may participate in strategic or program planning for delivery of mental health services by this program. This position is one discipline of a multi- disciplinary team and may be the primary service provider for a given client or family system or may serve in the role of consultant.
Essential Functions:
Builds and maintains a therapeutic relationship with individuals through engagement.
Provides psychosocial rehabilitation along with linking individuals with community support.
Performs assessments with individuals identifying their strengths and needs.
Completes Person Centered Recovery Plans developing goals and objectives with individuals.
Completes documentation in a timely manner.

Completes Recovery Plans to guide treatment Is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team
Has access to ongoing Training

Salary: $22.51 – $28.26
Range of salary subject to applicable differentials listed below
Applicable Differentials
- $0.75/hr Bilingual
- $1.00/hour – 2 years previous experience
- Up to $4.00/hour, Tenure with BTCS
