Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An excellent opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational setting. This full-time contract position runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering you the chance to work consistently during the school year. You’ll provide instruction and support to middle school students with mild to moderate learning differences in a self-contained environment, all within a collaborative and resourceful team.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students in mild to moderate self-contained settings
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Effective classroom management skills, with positive behavioral support strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt lessons for differentiated instruction
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to a caseload of 12 middle school students
- Develop and maintain IEP documentation and progress reports in compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment to promote student growth
- Collaborate closely with fellow special education teachers (total: 3 self-contained classrooms) and general education staff
- Monitor student progress regularly, adjusting strategies to maximize learning outcomes
- Participate in parent meetings and ARD/IEP team discussions

- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:15am – 3:15pm, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract term: August 13, 2026 – June 3, 2027
- Caseload of 12 middle school students, mild to moderate self-contained
